| Though the argument has still lived on that Olair was originally founded and colonized by one of the many races that now reside within each of its unique territories, it is an agreeable decision that the land had been colonized at a time around five-thousand prior to the present and had grown rapidly in culture and populace despite the destructive wars and Mineral deposit disputes.
Most of the Eras were those of betrayal and chaos, none held more interesting lore and stories as the first. It was a time of little to no constant control over the land as it was being fought over by the races who crossed over and the few that had lived there before the beginning of the first Era. | |

| The First Landing and the war of the FlamesThough many of the species came from lands of afar, it has become a theory that the Yokos were the original inhabitants of the land of Olair and had built a weak yet prosperous kingdom thinly across the land. Back and these times the Yokos were not a dangerous race but a kind and peaceful group of magic wielders. This was met with a powerful opposing force when the first ships of humans, dwarves, vampires and Orcs had first arrived on the eastern beaches of the country. - The Arrival :
Though it was questionable which race arrived first onto the beaches but in the first few days of arrival all three had built settlements up and down the coast between the wild prairies and the great sea. They had come in search of rare resources and a treasure known only by few as the four gems of existence. Their powers were only rumored and no one really knew what they truly were capable of but it was anticipated that they would act as an opposition to the horsemen. (Famine/Abundance, Pestilence/Health War/Peace Death/Life.) They were rumored to be the sources of life for the four horsemen and had been supposedly seen by weary travelers who have happened upon the land of Olair. Most would assume these as simple fairy tales but the legends were found in many scripts, these written in detail and by respected ancestors, leading the races to believe such stories and bringing up the release of hundreds of ships towards the land.
The Vampires were led by the general of the old kingdom known only by his original name, Blake Ward. The mission had been kept a secret to almost everyone because he had been sent by the dieing king to find a source for eternal life. He had been sent after the gem of death in hopes that the speculations of its power are true. Blake thought the search was a waste of time but would not disobey the order of such a powerful king, one he had vowed his life to. Unknown to him the king had died before he had even made shore and so his mission was lost forever to anyone else amongst the original vampire kingdom.
The humans had came with allied dwarves to find the legendary minerals that were only known to be in Olair, brought back few times by ships thought to have been lost at storm only to stumble upon the land. There had been secret agendas to find the gems as well but very few high ranking officials of the two races knew what they were really hunting. Unlike the vampires, the humans were led by a prince from the old lands, known as Loki for his tricky ways and well trained war knowledge, who had express permission to keep the secret of the gem a secret from everyone who had no right to hear of it.
The orcs had came in secret as a war party, hunting down the traveling races with a fleet of war ships. They were led by the war chief only known as the be header (actual name lost in fires and in the raids during the wars. Though they outnumbered both groups of ships they lost most of their fleet during a powerful hurricane off of the coast and were left alive by the others under the threat of extermination from the land of Olair.
It was not long before the settlements were spotted by the Yoko and they were kind on approaching the new arrivals. Though things seemed to be well approached at first, the Yokos allowed them to build larger cities and would even trade materials with them as a sign of good faith, one of the leaders became greedy and war was close behind. Thanks to the restrictions but on them until they could be better trusted, they were not allowed to venture passed the prairie, not even towards any of the mountain ranges. This prevented them from mining the rare minerals in the blue mountains and caused a bit of conflict before Loki's greed caused war itself to break out.
- The War of the Flames:
The war had followed multiple disagreements but was sparked by something few had seen coming. During one of the nights where Loki was more irritable about the search for the special gems of the horsemen, he was conversing about it with one of his few associates that knew and was overheard by a Yoko nobleman. When Loki caught him he followed his order to the letter and killed the man without a second thought. It wasn't long before the other races found out about this and sparked a series of heavy conflicts. During these the Vampires made the decision to join the Yoko's side out of a sense of sharing honor and similar past experiences with the humans. As allies of the humans the dwarves joined their side and together they convinced the orcs to become allies as well. The conflicts soon led to a few small fights but the first battle occurred on a summer night in the village of Wildi. The Yokos and Vampires attacked under the cover of a cloudy night and swiftly attacked the city with a barrage of flames and arrows. Though the battle was quick the flames burned the city throughout the night and into the rise of dawn. For these flames the war was given its name and no one who survived the attack would never forget that night.
This erupted the first war this land had ever seen and no one was safe from it. With a great force behind them the humans pushed their way west as they pushed the Yoko and Vampires away from the coast. Though the Yokos had high numbers they were still new to the idea of war and had little to no training about them though the vampires were willing to help in any way they could. Once the war began to claim more and more lives the vampires knew they had to turn to old allies to help them hoping they would be able to make the journey. Blake sent letters to many other races and even to his own kingdom but no one replied for months until one day a fleet of werewolf and elven ships appeared on the eastern shores of Olair, taking the human and dwarven forces by surprise. The war had shifted and both sides called in allies. It wasnt long before the land was filled with races of all kind, most of which were wiped out by the war from Olair but the real shift of the war was when a fraction of the humans defected to the Yokos. They were taught magic and the power behind nature itself. This spawned the first of the witches and warlocks causing a serious shift in power. The war last for over a century as even the leaders of the races were brought out onto the battlefield. Blake died out on the battle field during the charge on the winding woods but left behind his vengeful son and daughter who managed to lead their side to many victories. Unlike Blake, Loki had been killed a few years into the war without leaving behind any kin. It was his general Seras Wright who took over as the ruling party for the humans. Their families began to grow tired and weary of the war but it was until the dragons were awoken by the war that a treaty was made and a new enemy was to be fought, one that would shake the very core of the armies with a great power.

| Awakening of the Dragons and Swiplic the DevourerThe war of the flames did more than just cause massive destruction, it awakened a force that had been sleeping for thousands of years. The dragons. They had all fallen into a deep sleep thanks to the combined help of the Yokos and the spirits of the land but thanks to the massive bloodshed and chaos they were rudely awoken and arose from the mountains from which they lay to scorch the land and kill those who disturbed them. - Arise of the Dragons Part 1:
They came without warning except for an earthquake that shook the entire land. The quake lasted only seconds but what came next was repeated destruction to settlements and cities from the skies. The first city to fall was the city of Omega, a utopia built by the allied forces of the Yokos, vampires and other races. The dragons were led by the most powerful of their kind, Swiplic the devourer. He was a death bring, a dragon whose breath corrodes anything in its path. He was the last of his sub sect of dragons known for their ferociousness and sheer power.
It didn't take long for the war to subside and the change of battle to turn towards the dragons who were scorching the land with fire and ice. The leaders came together as one large force and led multiple attacks on the dragons but their forces were inadequate and the dragons were only increasing in number. It had soon become obvious that the dragons were not only hunting, they were attempting an extermination. The dragons pushed them into the wild prairie and towards the coast as they burned away the cities, killing everything in sight without remorse. All looked dark until one of the dragons betrayed their biggest secret to the other side. The name of this dragon has been lost to history but what she did changed the fate of the war.
- Arise of the Dragons Part 2:
The secret of the dragons weakness had been spilled and the races had a chance of winning this war depending on how they acted next. The weakness was a rare mineral known as obsidian which weakened dragons whenever they got near it and was the only material capable of piercing their scales. Though they thought it was just another story it was a few months into mining that they found their first vein of it and after a few trials realized it was what they needed to put these destructive creatures down for good. With the combined help of both dwarven and Yoko craftsmen they made an arsenal of weapons to combat the dragons but they still needed the forces to fight them considering how much they had lost already. This led to one of the witches known as Azphael, dwelling into a type of magic seen as unclean and evil even in comparison to the dragons. This witch learned and practiced the arts of dark magic, devising an army of the undead from the corpses of the fallen during both wars. This made a force capable of facing the dragons head on with the obsidian weapons. Though the races saw this power as a double edged sword they had no other choice and approved of this army. The undead felt no pain and continued attacking the dragons without stopping. They pushed the dragons back to the blue mountains from which they awoken and a final battle was waged near the old Yoko settlement of Aegis. During this battle Swiplic was slayed by one of the oldest Obsidian weapons by Sera, the new queen of the vampires after her father was killed by the same dragon. The weapon was given the name Crimson Queen for the blood of Swiplic permanently stained the blade. With the fall of Swiplic the dragons soon scattered without a leader to guide them and retreated deep into the mountains within a few years after his fall. This was the end of the war against the dragons but the Necromancer had the most powerful force in Olair, soon claiming control over the entire land.

| Rule of the Necromancer and the beginning of the DarknessThough the second half of the first era took a turn for the dark, it began with a time of peace and rebuilding after the end of the war against the dragons. It had been the dawn of darkness for the land and the Necromancer took her chance with such a big army to take control of the entire land. At first everyone saw not much trouble in it but this sense of security did not last for long. - Time of Rebuilding:
Only a few months after the final dragons disappeared back into the dark depths of the mountains, the great rebuilding took place. With the help of the thousands of undead they were able to construct newer, more protected cities across the land and the races began to take their places in areas best for their own intentions and ways of life. Though this split up the numbers by far, the Necromancer still kept her control over the land with her army of the undead spread out as guards and police. She knew that it wouldn't be long before the threat of old age would claim her life like all others and decided to dwell even deeper into the darkness. Using forbidden magic she turned her own body into that of an undead giving her an immortal but life craving body. This drove fear into the hearts of those around her and those under her rule which would soon lead to an event that would change the course of the Olair's destiny forever.
Azphael had taken up residence in the city of Asyl, her castle became the pinpoint of the land and was heavily guarded. The peace had lasted several hundred years but in the shadows a rebellion was building. Once the undead started to devour sacrifices it would become the last straw for those of the living and something had to be done to reclaim the land from evil. Together a member of each race had their greatest warriors gather together for a sneak attack on the castle. With how well it was guarded it would be impossible to attack it directly but they believed that a small force of talented fighters would be able to sneak in and kill the Necromancer. The Vampires sent in their young General Ira, Werewolves their most talented nomad alpha Lucian, Yokos had sent their own prince Raik, Orcs took no part in the matter carrying not for what was really going on around them, Elves sent their best hunter Zeleph, Humans sent a strong nobleman Erin and the Dwarven king himself had joined the attack. It was a successful mission in the account that it ended with the death of the Necromancer but not by the hands of those sent. In the midst of the battle, they recollected that something or someone rose from a strange tear in the air itself. This was the first known account of a reaper showing itself to the eyes of the living and it claimed the life that should have been taken to the afterlife. Though it would be a few hundred years before another would show itself, the story was widely believed and still talked about until more arose.
With the fall of the Necromancers, the undead became lost and alone without a ruling force showing them what to do and the surviving warriors who made the journey to the castle knew that this would not be the last time darkness would try to gain control of this land. Together they formed a new sect that would shape the way for justice and order that the land could follow. The Shadow watchers had been formed.
