| Each race has their own laws and customs they abide to as every culture does. Some define them, others are there to keep control in the hands of those who can handle it. These laws not only shape the culture but also creates lines of morality which can lead to both peace and war when clashed with others. These are the rules to be followed by all means unless facing the consequences of rebellion. - Laws of the Shadow Watchers:
As a sect, not a race their laws are less cultural based and more loyalty based. These were created when the group was first formed at the end of Olair's First Era and were rarely changed over the years.
-The Shadow Watchers are to destroy evil in all forms no matter the cost. To go against this law has a penalty of death to those who don't follow.
-Those who follow the dark have no place in the order.
-Those who have joined the order have given up their previous associations for the sake of giving their lives to Olair and its people.
- Laws of the Vampires:
The rules of the Vampiric race are held under the nobility of the high ranked families.
-The word of a royalty is unquestionable to those who are any rank beneath the royal family.
- Anyone Duke ranking and above are not allowed to leave the vampire territory without guards.
- The usage of light magic is prohibited from being used within any of the cities of the territory. The penalty is banishment or solitary confinement.
- Only high ranking vampires are allowed to wield swords. They are seen as weapons of nobility.
- Laws of the Werewolves:
Though the laws can differ between packs and villages there are some that stay the same in both. Within these laws, loyalty can be seen as the most important factor to their race.
- The Alphas are to be followed without question but on every full moon they can be challenged by another.
- No nomads besides respected Alphas are allowed to see the surpreme Alpha or the family of such.
- Changing within a village unless during a full moon is forbidden and punishable by death.
- Any nomads who break from the pack to join a village are seen as traitors to the pack and may be hunted down.
- Laws of the Witches/Warlocks:
These hold rules of following nature and respecting it while also abiding to the constant shift between dark and light magic. - Every life is sacred and those living without life are an abomination. These include those born of darkness and the undead.
- To practice dark magic is to be cast out of the order and banished from the land under penalty of death if they return.
- Only high ranking witches/warlocks are even allowed to see the council under any circumstances.
-The ruins of omega are forbidden territory to the race and trespassing onto them can be punishable by confinement or even death.
- Elven laws:
The Elves believe in the preservation of all life like the witches/warlocks of Olair. Their use of light magic has become well known and are celebrated healers. They have been the most likely to join the shadow watchers because of their want to preserve good.
-Users of and dark powers are to be seen as enemies and struck down on sight.
-The Royal family may be the ruling party of the race but there is also a senate used to keep them within their boundaries of power.
-Those who use light magic are to be respected and well trained in such arts.
-Those who leave the territory without permission are to be labeled as banished and are not allowed back to the territory without punishment.
- Human Laws:
The human laws are more simple and less controlling than the others. With the separation from their homeland they came to the conclusion to rewrite their own laws.
-Asyl is a city of peace and any who draw blood out of violence on its grounds are to be banished forever.
-All races are allowed within territory that follow the light, a law to keep the darkness from gaining any footholds.
-The prime council's word is law and denying their words will be met with severe punishment.
-Magic is a forbidden art within the cities of humans to keep from causing another night of flames. (See Era 1 War of the Flames)
- Water Spirit Laws:
Though they are rarely seen out of their watery home the young are encouraged to venture out into the world and see what it has to offer. Their laws are respected by visitors for their land is the hardest to attack or even reach.
-At the age of 19 it is encouraged for the young to leave and find what the rest of the world is like.
-All visitors are to be recorded and watched once they enter the territory.
-The Royal water spirits are kept in the deepest depths of the lake where they are heavily protected by the guardians of the lake.
-The undead are to be killed on site in or around the territory. Many spirits had their lives drained by the undead and are seen as the ultimate enemy.
- Night Walkers law:
There are barely any laws that these creatures from the dark follow. They only follow their dark masters and every word they say. Those who don't are to be put to death and barely few have escaped such circumstances.
- Wraith Laws:
Like the Night walkers they do not follow many laws. Though seen as creatures of the dark based on their origins, many of them cast away such notions and live their "lives" by their own rules. They only follow the law of one for all.
- Reaper Laws:
Some of the laws of the reapers are old, from before they began showing themselves to the living but are still practiced by many of the race.
-Never show true self to the living or else kill those who have seen to keep the secret hidden.
-A mission is a mission and any who stray from their mission are to be labled as traitors.
-No connections are to be made with any one of the living or the dead.
-Death is only allowed to be seen by the 7 great hunters.
- Yoko Laws:
As the oldest race of the land of Olair they are very protective of the entire realm. They are still a kind hearted species even after the wars they have faced but can be viscous.
- The shrine is a holy place only allowed to be approached by shrine leaders and their apprentices.
-Fire magic and light magic are the only ones allowed to be practiced by any and all Yokos.
-The torn castle in Aegis is a forbidden ruin for everyone, as the last home of the old royalty.
-The Yoko territory is to be seen as an area of peace. No war is to take place on its soil.
- Dwarven Laws:
As the main mining race in Olair they are strict onto their restrictions and laws within the confines of their mountains even to the dragonborn.
-All material found within the mines of the blue mountains are under the control of the dwarven kingdom.
-The Dragonborn are allowed within the iron and coal mines but are not allowed near the special gems such as emeralds and rubys.
-All obsidian is to be locked away for crafting into weapons and special tools.
-The Royal family has full rights to anything found in the mines above all else.
- DragonBorn Laws:
Like dragons they are weak to obsidian and can be rendered useless around it. The carry high regards for the jeweled kings and abide by every word they say. Their laws are fairly new yet carry an old style to them.
-Obsidian is banned from being brought into any of the dragon born cities.
-Once every ten years a Jeweled king can be challenged for his/her throne in a fight to the death.
-If anyone is to find a dragon they are to keep quiet about it and alert the nearest king about its location and type. Why this is a law is unknown as of now.
-Those who work with the dwarves even while in the dwarven territory are only held under the laws of the dragonborn.
- Laws of the Snow Imps:
As one of the two races that had existed on Olair before the arrival of the others, their laws are ancient and unchanged.
- Those who venture from the north that are not under the law of merchants are permanently banished from the territory.
- The council rules over all other words and to go against them is punishable by death.
- Only Snow Imps are allowed to hunt north of the Silver lined mountains.
